April 2011: Lucky Pup Rescue
Lucky Pup Rescue is a 501(c)(3) not for profit, family-run rescue based in
Southern Maine. We believe that all dogs deserve a safe and happy
home regardless of breed or where they are from; we work to re-home
both local dogs in need and Southern dogs from our overcrowded
partner shelters.
We do not have a physical shelter, but bring all our dogs to safety by
using a network of dedicated foster homes. We at Lucky Pup Rescue,
Inc. are committed to finding the best “doggie” fit for you and your
lifestyle so all have many happy years together."
May 2011: Opportunity Farm
Since its founding in 1910, Opportunity Farm has provided a safe, nurturing home for boys and girls who have no where else to turn. The Farm has successfully served countless numbers of young people and helped them find the path to stable, productive lives.
June 2011: HART of Maine
The Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART) is a shelter and adoption center for cats that has operated in Cumberland, Maine since 1997. We provide refuge, comfort, and medical attention to cats and kittens that have been surrendered, abandoned, injured, or abused, and find loving homes to adopt them.
